Residential FAQ's

Can window tint save money on my electric bill?

Yes, window film can not only save you money on your utilities, in most cases having window tint professionally installed will pay for itself in 2-7 years!

Why are there bubbles in my new tint?

During the first 30 days you may see bubbles, streaks, haze, and distortions, this is all perfectly normal! This is what's called "the curing process", and what you are seeeing is the left over water in the window film drying out, which takes time. The hotter the climate is, the quicker your film will cure!

Can window tint block UV Rays?

Most window films block out 99% of UV Rays. This is due to the polyester makeup of the material. UV Rays are also the primary cause of fading inside your home.

Can window tint prevent break ins?

Regular window film can keep your glass intact if it recieves an impact that would normally break the glass. There is a special line of window film called "security film", that is used to prevent break ins and can withstand heavy impacts such as crow bars, hammers, baseball bats, etc.

Can window tint stop the fading on my hardwood floor and furniture?

Yes, window tint can greatly reduce fading on any furniture that recieves direct sunlight. When protecting your hardwood floors and furniture are your main concerns, we recommend going with a light film, such as Clear View 60 or Clear View Plus 70.

Does window tint provide privacy at night?

No window film can give you night time privacy except decorative films. Window tint creates privacy by having a reflective side facing the outside of the window. The sun hits the reflective material and creates a mirrored effect which gives you excellent privacy during daylight hours. The opposite happens at night when it's brighter on the inside than it is on the outside.

Will window tint ruin my view?

Window film will not tarnish your view! A majority of our customers are in the mountains or on the water and have a beautiful view. To preserve your view, we recommend lighter ceramic films such as Clear View 35 or Clear View 50, which blocks the heat, but lets the light in!

Does window tint come in different colors?

Most heat reducing films come in varying shades of grey and they can have a cool blue hue or a brown hue to the material which is hardly noticable in most cases. Decorative films come in a wide varity of colors, textures, designs, and patterns. Most people use decorative films on their front door, bathroom, or in a commercial space.
